Grief Process Group

Grief is a response to losing someone dear and confronting the unknown territory that is life without them. Social expectations often predetermine the experience of grieving. This usually involves “moving on” and “letting go” in a short amount of time before being expected to return to everyday routines. We believe that staying connected to our loved ones by sharing stories of legacy and participating in symbolic activities help foster a sense of community. Through discussion, art & writing exercises and reflection, we honor the deceased while making the transition to a new life.

Co-led with Aimee Beyers, AMFT, APCC.

Queer Questioning after 35

Are you over 35 and newly discovering your queer identity? You are not alone!

Coming out can be an isolating and difficult process. Coming out after 35 can increase these isolating feelings. This process group is for anyone newly exploring sexuality outside of heteronormativity. We will touch on themes of sexuality, identity, gender and gender roles. We will share ways to navigate changing relationship dynamics, shame, internalized homo/cis/bi/transphobia that presents itself in ourselves and the world around us and more. This will be a brave space for folks to reflect, share, witness and connect with others navigating an evolving sexuality after 35.

The online group is 10 sessions long and 90 minutes per session. The group is billed at $50 a session. This is a closed group and we ask for a 10 week commitment for all those wanting to participate. Your presence in sessions is important and valuable so we ask folks to show up as many times as they are able.
